Make your hair color last longer
Those of us who dye our hair always look for ways to keep the color vivid and fresh for as long as possible. Here are some basic rules to follow in order to help your dyed hair remain color rich and gorgeous for a long time.
1. Choose the color wisely
The further it is from your actual natural hair color, the harder it will be to maintain. Stylists recommend we pick hair dye one or two shades lighter or darker than our natural hair. Dye your hair every 4-6 weeks depending on the color you chose. For example, red dyes fade faster – in about 4 weeks.
2. Use shampoo and conditioner for dyed hair
There’s a wide selection of haircare products for dyed hair on the shelves. Always choose those containing natural emulsifying wax which helps maintain color and protects your hair from over-drying. Stylists also recommend we choose shampoo and conditioner of the same brand as the hair dye we use.
